What to do with a boring affair
“Good relationships don’t just happen. People make them happen,” says Dr. Frederick Humphry, a University of Connecticut professor of family studies. He offers these tips to add spark to your love life
- Let others get close o you. The more your share about yourself, the more likely you are to find true intimacy.
- Be a good listener. It shows that you care and makes the other person feel important.
- Anticipate the other person’s needs. For example, if your loved one is going on a trip, think about what he or she may need, and get it ready ahead of time. This will show you really care.
- Share equally in responsibility, but don’t keep a score. The other person wont always be able to do exactly the same number of things for your that you did for him or her.
- Be fee with compliments. Mark Twain once said that he could live for two months on a good compliment. Offer sincere compliments and see how far it carries you.
